‘Vel-kommen Eve. I zee you have been to shops. Very good.’

I immediately take a slug of port.

‘Vill you show me?’

Find the G-spot with Gudrun

I hold out the bag expecting Gudrun to take it from me.
‘Vhy don’t you take it out and show me.’
My cheeks burn as I reach inside the bag and pull out the big black box. A pink ‘R’ and the words ‘RAMPANT RABBIT The Neon One’ glare at us. I hold up the box.
‘Vel done.’ Gudrun hands me a pair of scissors.

With the world in tipsy topsy turmoil, oh yes it's the triple T's. We thought something nice would be in order, and focus on the positives. Women MP numbers have never been so good,

Sunny weekend read
Forget about the week... hang up your shoes and don't get hung up about parliament!

Tuesday, 6 June 2017

Our hearts go out to everyone who's been affected by the senseless, barbaric, and moronic acts of evil. It's been a very tearful few months.

There is no way to understand this depraved, mad ideology of hate.

Wish we could stick those individuals with the worst ideology since Hitler into a massive barrel and push them off the face of the earth. I'd happily make them a paper train of virgins to colour in on the way out... crayons included, wouldn't want them to get confused with the technicalities of pens in zero gravity.
Run this way - all extremists welcome
'The monumentally stupid'

Western civilisation stands for freedom, democracy, equality, human rights, human decency and good people, because good will always win. People made worthy sacrifices for those causes, for the greater good of all citizens of the world.

ONE LOVE MANCHESTER - Ariana Grande made the lights shine again for all those children. She was wonderful. The very cute little girl in the choir made us all melt. That is humanity.

MOVING UP ON MANOLOS (A Romantic Comedy) Kindle Edition

No.1 IDIOT - The worldwide consensus is in - CLIMATE is GLOBAL you ignoramus!

Makes me wonder what kind of people voted for "that orange thing"?
An Orange thing who has no grasp on reality, he hasn't got a grasp on reading so how can he make decisions on a global level, oh yeah he hears a soundbite from TV and just does the opposite because of.... attention, is he 2? I don't like anything Obama did, meh meh meh cofevhi.

I mean how is it possible that no actual tangible sensible thought pinballs through that thick skull? Is it made of Nonsense? Mush? Narcissistic constant twitter feed? Powered by COAL? Even the ball is trying to find it's way out of the tightly meshed Labrador hair net. Melania Trump you know what you have to do... go on for the world's survival. We'd respect you, and you would soon have friends, no permission needed. We've all made mistakes, yours is so easily rectifiable, his isn't.

Writing in a Dynamic Duo - Holy Haberdashery

Monday, 3 April 2017

We get asked the question more than you might think.
"How on earth do you write with someone?"
Easy, get the Batman and Robin stuff (right) out the way first.
"You wear the green, yellow, red outfit today"
"No, why? I'm wearing the black, blue, grey gear - to suit my mood"
"Your pallor is more yellow today"
"Oh alright then. I'm wearing the black tomorrow though"
"You're much better with yellow than I am."
"Yellow is difficult to pull off 100% of the time. Let's swap mid month. "

Sometimes it is natural process, sometimes a work in progress. We were very lucky, ours evolved out of the same desire to be writers, the dedication was equal and never really gave it much thought at the beginning. We just wanted to write books, and for people to enjoy them. Same goal.

If you think you're inherently superior than your partner, and a last word freak - don't bother starting to write together you'll never get along. If you have a bubbling little mutual admiration society going on between yourselves, entertain one another, enthuse one another and listen well - start writing together. Hone your differences, where you are good and where your partner is better, you'll get a more rounded manuscript.

The cornerstone of writer's doubts bob along with a daily mantra of "Is it any good? Does that bit work? Is it funny? Will the audience like the characters?" The speed at which those are squashed or not as the case may be has a quick turnaround rate, if you have a good writing partner.
If you can take the criticism.
"You wear the green pants so well"
"I do, don't I. Really rather fond of them now"

The other vital key is Ego (or lack of it), if you are too precious about your writing you'll never move past the first sentence, chapter or edit, agreeing on anything will be such a hard slog and spoil the flow. You are both in control, become borg-like and move as one. You may feel it's the best line that day, but it may read like a crashed jalopy in a cowpat. Let it go, look at the page, come up with something better.

We do look like this though. I wear the beard better!

SPRING HAS SPRUNG - TRUMP's Nepotism - CLIMATE is for Everybody

Nothing I like better than saving tadpoles off the rocks, not because they're heavy scotch drinkers. But they do like getting themselves stuck for a little sunbathe.
Save life, it's all important. I can't even comment about Trump today... climate, daughter... good grief  when will it stop? You can't breathe money... does he know? What does he know? Does anyone know?
We are the Taddies
