Wednesday, 29 January 2014

Oscar fever is pitching right now and most films are based on true stories or a touch of realism, one could say almost a trend...

I need more Game of Thrones - NOW!

Monday, 16 September 2013

I can't believe it's over. For the passed few weeks I have had an overwhelming obsession with HBOs Game of Thrones, and last night I watched the last two episodes of season two - urgh! I now have to wait until 24th February 2014 to see Season 3 and I feel kind of empty inside. How will I bear it?

So, I've downloaded, "A Storm of Swords" because I read that season 3 is based on this novel. Get in!

Comedy Hit for Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy in The Heat

Thursday, 8 August 2013

I love films that make me laugh and I laughed my head-off watching, "The Heat." Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy are wonderfully hilarious in this buddy-cop movie. What a treat to see a film that isn't relying on the sexualisation of women to sell tickets but trusting in two talented actors with a gift for physical comedy and razor-sharp dialogue. I almost want to yell, "Girl Power!!" but I can just hear McCarthy in her deadpan delivery, "Don't! You make it odd."

Robert Downey Jr returns as IRONMAN

Saturday, 22 June 2013

Love him, great films, purely enjoyable entertainment. If ever "Chaplin" graces the little screen, I stop to watch. TROPIC THUNDER... raucous laughter was had in a Dansk Biograf at midnight:) He's such a good performer. Looking forward to it.

The Hunger Games - Sequel 2013 - Lionsgate

Sunday, 26 May 2013

I thought this was going to be a lateral film about women craving cake at 3-4 pm! Imagine my surprise  when there wasn't even a hint of a pastry tray! Aha... me thinks pmt Whyle has a new angle for box-office smashing sequel, feel free to contact me Lionsgate!

All is at stake as the bakers and patisserie owners of the world fall foul to the explosion of the human race's increasingly salty palates.
Is this conspiracy between the one remaining food manufacturer and the supremely corrupt global government kosher?
Deciding our greedy consumption for all things edible has to come to a stop, the games are afoot. Will the hormonal women find the baking ingredients? Who knew icing and chocolate chips could be used as lethal weapons... with such horrifying results. Will anyone win the cherry on top and can you have your cake and eat it? The Game's rules take a sudden turnabout and the sky fills with almond flakes...

REVIEWS:
"The women of the world's uprising is the most shocking scene ever printed on celluloid, I recommend taking a person you can grab onto if you dare!"                           E-NEWS If buzzards fly, we'd know about it!

JENNIFER AND BRADLEY CHARM IN SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK

Saturday, 18 May 2013

Finally got around to seeing this film and I LOVED IT. LOVED. LOVED. LOVED IT. Not at all what I expected. My favourite scene is the dancing at the end. I so wanted to show you that clip but I really don't want to spoil it for you if you haven't seen the movie. Here's the trailer instead.

MAJOR MOVIE DEAL IMMINENT - SPY SCANDAL FOGLE - Why do we still have spies?

Wednesday, 15 May 2013

Please feel free all you Hollywood studios and contact me for my fast, funny action, mystery script called....???? (All ready to send to you execs on Final Draft)
It will appeal to all demographics, an absolute winner across age and sex, a little something for everyone. Maybe for Cannes next year then?

CALLING >>>Weinstein, Warners, MGM, Fox, Universal (c'mon you're supposed to be Universal!)

Of course I have my own ditzy theory and you know I'm going to partake it here and now!
We all live in a James Bond and Smiley's People fantasy and everyone is slightly protective of their jobs even if they are obsolete. Us humans like the intrigue and mystery of suspicion, even if it is fanciful!
Oooohhh 4pm... Must dash now and go covertly into the cake tin donning my best moustache:)

Liberace - Damon and Douglas, the Dynamic DUO!

Another one to watch. Damon and Douglas some of the best entertainers in town, and how does he get that hair so Farah Fawcett flicky! Think everyone suits the seventies look!

Glamour and flamboyancy are the words du jour:)

Cannes Film Festival 2013 - The Great Gatsby

Not only a familiar theme with my new book, how fortuitous this lovely festival is here!
Isn't one of Poppy's settings in the South of France very Gatsby-esque? Download and read more if you like the world of glamour, glitz and darlings but know you're an utter klutz under it all!
"When Life Goes POP!" might have a chapter or two set here;)

The Cannes Film Festival is now afoot and there is lots of interesting films this year.
One of my favourite Authors "F.Scott Fitzgerald" "The Great Gatsby"
"DeCaprio" "Mulligan" "Maguire" a brilliant book and now a new adaptation... YIPEE!
The age of Decadence writer proceeds all time!

MAX 60 Seconds with Rebel Wilson and Anna Kendrick (PITCH PERFECT)

Saturday, 11 May 2013

I've just googled Rebel Wilson for the hundredth time today and came across this 60 second with Anna Kendrick. I'm always a fan of silliness and both these girls have it in the bucket full. Just became Anna's 1,197,658 follower.

Anna: "Every time I talk to a fancy journalist and they ask what I do in my free time my scumbag brain goes "say masturbate, it'll be hilarious"

I'm always saying inappropriate things and thinking they're funny but these tweets are actually funny.

Anna: "Ugh - NEVER going to a Ryan Gosling movie in a theater again. Apparently masturbating in the back row is still considered "inappropriate"

Inside Llewyn Davis to premiere at the Cannes film festival 2013

Just seen the trailer for the Coen brothers next film. It looks brilliant.

I'm a huge fan of the Coen brothers, Burn after Reading, True Grit, No Country for Old Men, they can do no wrong. Inside Llewyn Davis stars the talented Carey Mulligan, Justin Trousersnake, John Goodman, Garrett Hedlund and Oscar Issac. Didn't recognise Oscar Issac who plays Llewyn Davis at first so just had to do a little background search and then realised he played the adorable security guard in, W.E  who romances Abby Cornish's character. Their relationship was my favourite thing in the movie.

What's not to like.
