You all know your best friends don't tell you everything they think about you, otherwise you'd soon be short of friends. That's a given, that's why we have best friends, they support you knowing your foibles and you theirs, this doesn't mean you have to hang them out to dry in a consistent cycle of bad washing each time you meet. It's easier to criticise than compliment, like the old Shakespearian thang, tragedy is more interesting than comedy and love, yadah yadah yadah
So USA, get over it and enjoy your allies, doesn't matter what colour socks they choose. Spend the time, money and effort chasing the really bad guys... ie like sexist republicans, ban them from the Senate;) and make them really work.

We all live in a James Bond and Smiley's People fantasy and everyone is slightly protective of their jobs even if they are obsolete. Us humans like the intrigue and mystery of suspicion, even if it is fanciful!
