UPDATE FRIDAY's Snippet- actually On a Friday! BOOK 3 Preview

Friday, 22 February 2013

TGI Friday. It's party-time
Book 3's "The Hangover"!

On legs of jelly I step slowly and wobbly across the room unhooking my dressing gown from the door (on the second attempt!), wrapping it tightly around my nakedness I close the door behind me quietly .
I head to the bathroom but peeing is proving impossible. I need water, lots of water. I stare at my blurry reflection. I look even more shitty than I feel. Last night’s carefully applied make-up is now a melting pot of charcoal dust and I brush out my rats nest hair. Then I start gagging and have to hang onto the toilet seat to vomit up the poisonous sour taste of half-digested wine and tequila, there’s something floating we must have had nibbles, I mean canapés at some point in the evening.
I hate alcohol. Hate it. Never ever again!
I brush my teeth and scrub my tongue several times, but my breath still smells like booze and vomit.

Must have been some Party, stay tuned folks :)

Preview Book 3 - Fridays Snippet on Sacred Saturday's Post-

Saturday, 16 February 2013

I apologise for my reoccurring tardiness:)
Happy Weekend Everyone and thanks so much for the push in Sales xxx

‘I’ve done that once in my life. ONCE!’ I exclaim.

‘I know that’s the shame of it,’ Paige says thoughtfully. ‘You’ve never had your freedom. Sowing your… ‘ she pauses, ‘well it can’t be oats for a woman, sowing your…?'

‘It’s ok, I get the picture.’

‘I got it, scrambling your eggs!’

She starts to laugh to herself. ‘Grabble the serpent?'
I roll my eyes.
‘Or how about coaxing the snake?’

‘Oh look I’ve finished my drink. Let’s go.'

I take the empty glass out of her hand, grab our bags, and ambush her out of the door.
‘Grease the pulsating pole!’ she says, falling into another fit of giggles.
I pull her by the arm and lead her down the corridor.

SNEAK PREVIEW BOOK 3 - Friday's Snippet

Friday, 8 February 2013

"He places a hand on my labouring chest, just one finger brushing the top of my cleavage; it glides faintly around the edge of my top. I sit perfectly still, meeting his eyes and stare intensely at his hunger, his hand glides up my neck and grips my throat as though he wants to control it."

Heating up for Valentines Day or just the weekend!

Book 3 preview-Friday's Snippet

A little taster once again for you all ;)

I don’t need to talk to anyone anyway. I don’t mind my own company. I can just sit here and get drunk.
Maggie who’s party it is or Maggot Face as I am now calling her, keeps referring to me as Piers’ girlfriend even though I told her my name on numerous occasions at countless encounters. She’s his boss so I’m trying to be polite, but if she doesn’t start showing me some respect I’ll… I’ll… well I probably won’t do anything because Pier’s would be mighty pissed off, but oh God the woman likes the sound of her own voice. She’s pretty much dominated the conversation since we sat down and Piers is lapping it up. If I didn’t know better I’d say he fancies her. I suppose she is attractive for an older woman but her dress sense is appalling. If I knew Piers liked the Librarian chic I would have raided my Gran’s wardrobe and kept the pure scent of mothballs instead of using my expensive French perfume.

BOOK 3 PREVIEW - FRIDAYS SNIPPET- ENJOY

Friday, 30 November 2012

Enjoy and please let me know if you're enjoying the sound of the next Book! Thanks

"I root through the rather overcrowded boot and find more severed headsets, wires just guillotined from their little round ears; a fire extinguisher; goggles; a torch; three mismatching shoes; two mismatching wellies; a medical kit and a blanket. I lift the blanket up and see a picnic hamper. Being more easily distracted than an ADD goldfish I have a little snoop. The basket has unfinished food and wine in… hmmm. This can’t be more than a couple of days old because I’d definitely still eat the cheese.
But the wine smells a bit potent - Paige always for a more robust flavour than me. Countless compromising when we’re out, so now we take it in turns but both still overrule Victoria her palate is… well it’s safe to say for the sweeter tones, she’d wouldn’t notice the difference if you served her up a dessert wine for the entrée! (I only know this stuff because of the restaurant, it’s not like we’re connoisseurs lunching gourmet style regularly at Le Gavroche!) But Victoria has such a sweet tooth for everything."

SNEAK PREVIEW OF BOOK 3 - BFF

Friday, 9 November 2012

Every girl needs her girlfriends, and Poppy has two of the best. Best friends forever. The three met at school and have been inseparable ever since! The three Musketeers. Book 3 will feature their escapades and adventure. Like the sound of it so far??

"Paige is one of my best friends from school, an urban warrior striding through life. She knows exactly what she wants and won’t let anything get in her way. Even the pittance she earns as a Production Assistant doesn’t deter her from her mission. One day she will be a Film Producer. Paige has always been the leader of the pack even at school she was the one who organised charity events from pensioner’s bingo to Sports Relief, extra curricula theatre production and all of our themed dance nights. She’s much more poised and self-assured than I am, she’s also straight-talking, no nonsense – verging on brutal – and, funny, smart and loyal. I love her to bits. My other best friend Victoria is a real high-flyer. She left university with a published educational book on economics used at A-level and was snapped up straight away by the corporate world. Together we are the three musketeers, whenever we’re lost we find each other and set ourselves up for the next stage of life, if I didn’t have them I think I would be locked up by now for abandoning a human being after asphyxiation via aftershave poisoning."
